The Basics

Kink-Engineering (herein after referred to from how on as KE) is a small shop located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. They specialize in Vacbeds, at the moment, but are also working on things like sleepsacks and other rubber goodies that are sure to excite your bondage and latex fantasies. They make all their own gear and are doing a lot of work with another company; Ego Assassins, who do most of their print work for them.

Maybe the reviewer should back up here a second and start from the start.

Kink-Engineering offers something that's a little unique; high-quality latex gear at a reasonable price. Their vacbeds can come in sizes ranging from 220 cm's tall to 280 cm's and 95 to 180 cm's as well. The latex thickness is customizable, as are the colours and any printing; yes, printing on latex, that you wish you order. For the same price as most others charge for a smallish vacbed in black you can get custom colours, a larger size and a neat print; although if you just want basic black you can do that too; and the list of customizations doesn't stop there either, they're always adding new things!

They're also rolling out a variety of items, too; an inexpensive sleepsack which the reviewer has not tried, has now appeared on the website, and more items are sure to follow.

Shopping Experience

The reviewer has only ordered one item from KE; it was a bit of a doozy, though, and pictures can actually be seen here. Because of the reviewer's proximity to KE's workshop he handled the transactions, pickups and deliveries in person and even got the chance to see how they worked. No, he won't spill any secrets, but he was very impressed with the speed and efficiency, as well as attention to detail, that was put into the construction of the vacbed. KE's gear IS made to last and they're more than happpy to accept constructive feedback; they are, after all, in this to make high quality gear.

During the construction of the reviewer's bed improvements were always being suggested and worked on throughout; they're an excellent group to work with and always second-guessing how things can be done. This means that everything from how the neck-seals work to the closure system has been redesigned to make it even better and more manageable than it might otherwise have been.

Further Notes

KE's designs are mostly custom, so if you're looking for something in the next week you might be a bit out of luck. On the other hand, if you can wait four to six weeks, you can have a true masterpiece of kink gear. Just have a clear vision of what you want and be prepared to be patient, they will honour the spirit of your request quite readily and are an excellent team to work with.
